Truck wont start when it rains. It runs when it's dry out, cranks but won't start when it's raining/humid. I used dielectric grease on the connection, and put a little silicone around the cover around the computer, but it still won't start if it rains. Once it sits in the sun and dries out it will start right up no problems.

A simple and easy fix. Wire insulation can wear thin and this causes the voltage to arc to the metal of the car engine rather then going into the spark plug. Now, every time it rains, the truck won't start.

If it wont start this is the issue. Truck is a 2000 frontier crewcab 3.3 with 210,000. I tried using starting fluid, to see if it was a fuel issue, but it won't hit on that.
After it rains, i try to start my truck and it will turn over but not fire. 1990 chevrolet silverado 1500 with 5.7l 350. Try replacing your coolant temp sensor, its the master sensor when the engine is cold, also you may have to replace the maf/baro sensors, worst comes to worst take it to a dealer and have them flash the computer it may have lost its ability to relearn new environments.

I pulled a plug wire and stuck a screwdriver in the boot, held it near the block, and i get a good spark. Truck won't start after rain or cold weather. Maybe i should say that if its damp and humid before or after it rains it doesnt start at all when i try to start the truck it just clicks the battery is fine the instrument panel doesnt go haywire the truck doesnt start.
Everything run fine when dry, but not after rain. It only starts on dry and sunny days. Use ac delco plugs, factory supplied and recommended,and check the seal between the hood and wiper cowl, water may be entering there, or just corroded cap terminals, recommend to get brass terminal version and new rotor and even wires.
If it rains or drizzles a bit, it’s usually fine. Give it a few days to dry out, and it fires right up. I have spark and fuel and cant figure it out.

I have a new fuel pump, plugs and cap and rotor. Cap most likely because cap has. If your going to let the truck sit, its best to go out once a week and start it up even for a minute or two.

Gas goes bad after awhile also, you can put winterizer in the gas that stabilizes it for storing the veihcle during winter. Truck wont start in rain. Thishas happened to me apx.
